The United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association recognized both the men's and women's cross country teams with All-Academic Honors.
 
Overall, there were 191 men's and 237 women's teams that received All-Academic honors in NCAA Division I. The Loyola Marymount University men's team garnered the honor with a 3.14 GPA and the women's team with a 3.31 GPA for head coach Scott Guerrero's Lions. 
 
In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period.
