LOS ANGELES – Entering his fourth season leading the LMU men's golf program, Head Coach
Jason D'Amore has announced the 2019-20 competition schedule. The Lions will compete in 10 tournaments before the playing for a WCC Championship Apr. 30-May 2 in Henderson, Nev.
"We have built a great fall schedule this year that will allow us to get off to a good start and build momentum," said D'Amore.
For the second consecutive year, the season will open with the Golfweek Conference Challenge in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The tournament will be played from Sept. 15-17.
The Lions then travel to Albuquerque, New Mexico for the two-day William H. Tucker Intercollegiate from Sept. 27-28.
October opens with Cal's Alister Mackenzie Invitational on Oct. 7 and 8, then closes in Oahu, Hawaii with the Hoakelei CC Collegiate Invitational from Oct. 28-30.
LMU will play in Southern California on Feb. 10-11 at UC Irvine's Orange County Collegiate Classic in Coto de Caza, Calif., to open the spring portion of the schedule.
Loyola University Maryland hosts the Loyola Intercollegiate from Feb. 22-24 in Goodyear, Ariz.
March and April will each feature two tournaments. LMU will play in Chula Vista, Calif. From Mar. 9-10 for the Lamkin Grips SD Classic and then travel east to the Seahawk Intercollegiate at the end of the month for UNC Wilmington's Seahawk Intercollegiate.
The two April tournaments are the Wyoming Cowboy Classic which will take the Lions back to Phoenix to complete from Apr. 6-7. The Lions will then get a preview of some WCC competition at the Cougar Classic in Provo, Utah on Apr. 25-26 in their final preparations before the WCC Championships.
