LOS ANGELES, Calif., -- Loyola Marymount softball head coach
Sami Strinz-Ward has announced that Brooke Vines has signed to play softball with the Lions next season.
"We can't wait to add Brooke to our roster for next season," said Strinz-Ward. "She brings high level experience playing for an SEC program with Women's College World Series experience as well as our US National team. Her ability, speed, power, maturity, leadership and character add to our elevating program."
Vines will be coming to LMU as a graduate transfer from the University of Tennessee, where she was named to the NFCA Division I All-Southeast Region Second Team and All-SEC Second Team her sophomore season.
In 2017, Vines compiled 59 RBIs, second in the SEC, had a hit in each game of the NCAA Super Regionals and tallied her career high of RBIs in a game with four.
The Palos Verdes native comes to LMU with 97 RBIs, 95 runs and a .363 batting average from her three seasons at Tennessee.
The outfielder will join a Lion squad that recently won the Regional National Invitational Softball Championship and finished second in the West Coast Conference.
