LOS ANGELES, Calif., -- The Loyola Marymount beach volleyball team (17-8, 4-0) will be back on the road this weekend, as the team will head to Bakersfield to take on Ottawa University Arizona and CSU Bakersfield on Saturday. 
 
The Lions will be coming off of a mid-week loss against No. 1 UCLA, where LMU fell 4-1 to the Bruins. Savannah Slattery and Reka Orsi Toth picked up a point for the Lions, after pushing their opponents to three sets and coming out with a 25-23, 11-21, 15-13 win. 
 
Last week, prior to the Lions' loss against UCLA, LMU took home the first place title at the Santa Cruz WCC Mid-Season Invitational, where the Lions had an undefeated 4-0 record. 
 
The Lions met with CSU Bakersfield (6-11) three times last season, where LMU swept the Roadrunners 5-0 in all three if their meetings. 
 
This will be the first time the Lions have met with Ottawa University Arizona (16-0). 
 
LMU will play its first game against OUAZ at noon, and then take on CSU Bakersfield at 2:00 p.m.
