GCC Tournament Central
LOS ANGELES – The 2019 Golden Coast Conference Championships is set for three days of play in Fresno. The three-seeded Loyola Marymount women's water polo team opens the tournament with the first game of the day on Friday in a matchup against No. 6 Cal Baptist at 1:30 p.m. from Fresno State Aquatics Center.
Each day of the three-day tournament will feature four games, including a pair of semifinals on Saturday and the championship on Sunday.
The Lions enter the tournament with three of the GCC's four highest goal scorers, with
Marialena Seletopoulou (71 goals) and Morgan Molly (57 goals) ranking first and second in conference, and
Hana Vilanova (52 Goals) rounding out the top four.
Additionally, Seletopoulou (97 points) and Vilanova (89 points) lead the conference in total points, with
Mollie Williams (76 points) also in the top four.
Sky Flores is one of only two GCC goalkeepers with over 200 saves entering the tournament.
The GCC championship shall be a ticketed event. Tickets can be purchased at the gate to the Aquatic Center one hour prior to the start of the first game each day. There will be no advance ticket sales. The ticket office will close at halftime of the final game each day. Prices are per day and cost $10 for adults and $5 for students and youth.
