LOS ANGELES, Calif., -- Loyola Marymount's
Linnay Wilson was named the West Coast Conference Pitcher of the Week after leading the Lions to two wins over Satna Clara, announced by the conference on Monday.
Wilson led the Lions to a 10-5 win, as well as an 11-7 win over the weekend, as she pitched 9.2 innings with four strikeouts while only allowing 12 hits and three runs, giving her a 0.93 ERA on the weekend.
The Coalinga, Calif. native's 2-0 record on the weekend gave her a 6-1 record on the season. Wilson's award marks LMU's fourth WCC Pitcher of the Week honor this season.
Wilson and the rest of the Lions will host their last conference series of the season this Saturday and Sunday, as the team will play Saint Mary's in a three-game series.
