Serbian International Lazar Zivanovic Signs to Hoop at LMU

LOS ANGELES – The Loyola Marymount University men's basketball team has signed 6-6 multi-skilled guard, Lazar Zivanovic, from Sabac, Serbia for the 2019-20 season. Zivanovic has a wealth of experience at the international level, representing Crvena Zvezda (Red Star) basketball club at the youth level.

Zivanovic has helped his team finish runner up in the prestigious Euroleague Basketball Adidas Next Generation Tournament averaging 20 points a game. He also represented Serbia at the U16 World Championships finishing in 3rd place.

LMU coaches expect that due to his versatility, Zivanovic will be able
to play all perimeter positions at the collegiate level. He possesses great length
(6'11 wingspan) and elite athleticism.

Lazar comes from a family that places a high value on education as his mother
Marija is a doctor and his father Ivan is an engineer. Lazar also has younger
brother Jovan (14). Lazar would like to study business.

The Lions are coming off a season with their third-most wins in program history. Two of LMU's three graduating seniors are guards, which will allow Zivanovic to compete from the beginning.
