Hana Vilanova earned her first Player of the Week recognition of the season, and third of her storied career.
Vilanova led LMU to a win in their only game of the week, scoring a team-high three goals in the win over 25th-ranked Cal Baptist, 9-5. This was her first three-goal performance since the start of GCC play. The Lions wrapped a three-game conference road trip with the win, and Vilanova surpassed the 50 goal mark for the second-straight season.
As of Thursday morning, Vilanova ranks second in the conference in points with 89 on the season.
The Lions have concluded the regular season at 19-9 with a 4-2 record in conference. The GCC Championships are set for Apr. 26-28 in Fresno, Calif.
