LOS ANGELES, Calif., -- Loyola Marymount softball player
Riley Ehlen earned her first West Coast Conference Player of the Week award, announced by the conference on Monday.
Ehlen earned the weekly honor after she led the Lions to three victories last week, including a 2-1 win over San Diego State, a 4-2 win over New Mexico and a 3-0 shutout over CSUN.
The freshman was a key asset in the Lions' win over CSUN, as she hit a homerun that earned her two of her five RBI's for the week. She also earned two against No. 22 Auburn and one against New Mexico, while logging a .333 percent batting average.
Ehlen and the rest of the Lions will be back on the field on Wednesday to host South Dakota in a double-header at Smith Field.
