LOS ANGELES, Calif., -- The Loyola Marymount beach volleyball team is set to take on Oregon and No. 1 UCLA this Tuesday in Santa Monica.
The Lions (12-6) will head into Tuesday's matches coming off of an undefeated week, as the team beat CSUN 4-1, and swept Colorado Mesa University, Vanguard University and Concordia University 5-0.
LMU holds on to its No. 13 ranking and is led by
Reka Orsi Toth and
Savannah Slattery, who hold down the No. 1 position and are 13-5 on the season.
Sarah Kovac and
Jessie Prichard continue to maintain an almost perfect 17-1 record from the No. 2 and No. 3 positions, while
Veronica Nederend and
Erin Martin are 12-6 on the season.
LMU met with UCLA twice last year and was swept both times. The Lions have not been able to beat the Bruins since 2014. The Bruins will be going into tomorrow's match with a 15-0 record.
Tomorrow's match against Oregon will be the Lions' first meeting with the Ducks. Oregon is 1-5 on the season.
The Lions' will kick off their first match of the day against Oregon at 10:30 a.m., and then take on No. 1 UCLA at 2:30 in Santa Monica, Calif.
