LOS ANGELES, Calif., -- Loyola Marymount softball player Samantha Manti was named the West Coast Conference Pitcher of the Week, announced by the conference on Monday. 
 
Manti earns the honors after having an undefeated 3-0 weekend and led the Lions to a 6-4 win over Harvard, a 4-3 win over Cal State Fullerton and a 3-0 shutout against Long Beach State.
 
The junior had a 1.89 ERA across 19 innings pitched. Manti only allowed 11 hits and 16 runs, while having 17 strikeouts. 
 
Manti's honor marks the fourth consecutive WCC Player or Pitcher of the Week Award for the Lions. The Chula Vista Calif. native is now 9-4 on the season and will be back in action with the rest of the Lions on Tuesday to take on Cal Baptist in a double header at Smith Field.
