Starting off in doubles play, the tandem of
Lukas Moenter and
Lucas Moreno took on the No. 18 doubles tandem of Reese Stalder and Bertus Kruger on court one and fell 6-1, while
Thien Nguyen and
Diego Nava fell to the No. 56 doubles tandem of Alex Rybakov and Alastair Gray on court two 6-2, giving TCU the doubles point.
Down 1-0, the Lions went into singles play. Nava fell to No. 26 Gray 6-2, 6-0 on court two, while
Austin Di Giulio fell to Sander Jong on court six 6-1, 6-1.
Moenter took on No. 7 Rybakov on court one and fell 6-3, 6-2, clinching the match for TCU. Nguyen fell to No. 86 Bertus Kruger on court four 6-3, 6-2, while
Max Kaiser fell to No. 115 Stalder on court three 6-2, 6-3.
The Lions will be back home this week to take on Nebraska on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m.
