LOS ANGELES, Calif., -- The Loyola Marymount beach volleyball team will host its first matches of the season this Saturday at Ocean Park in Santa Monica, Calif.
 
The Lions will go into Saturday's matches 6-5 on the season and are currently ranked No. 13 in the nation. LMU just picked up an impressive 4-1 win over No. 7 Cal Poly on Wednesday, but fell to No. 5 Pepperdine and No. 20 TCU. 
 
 Sarah Kovac and Jessie Prichard lead the Lions and are 10-1 on the season, they picked up their first loss against Pepperdine at the No. 3 spot. 
 
The Lions will be hosting Concordia University, Missouri State and Cal Poly. This will be the first time this season the Lions will be meeting with Concordia and Missouri State, and the second time the team has met with Cal Poly. 
 
The Lions last met with Concordia and Missouri State last season and picked up a 5-0 sweep against both teams.
 
LMU will play its first match against Concordia at 10:00 a.m., and will then take on Missouri State at 1:00 p.m. and then Cal Poly at 3:00 p.m.
