Gatorade State Player of the Year Award Winner, Klemp, Signs NLI

LOS ANGELES, Calif., -- Incoming freshman Audrey Klemp has signed her National Letter of Intent to play indoor volleyball with the Lions starting in the fall, announced by head coach Aaron Mansfield

"We couldn't be happier to finally announce the addition of Audrey to our program," said Mansfield. "Having good setting is paramount for our program's success, and having Audrey as a Lion has really solidified that for us. She has enormous potential, great size for a setter, but most importantly she is a true student of the game. The work she has continued to put into her game since her commitment to LMU, has shown that she wants to be great. It will be exciting to see Audrey's growth and development, and the culture of our program will bring out the best in her. "

Klemp is ranked No. 1 in the state of Kansas and No. 31 in the nation. The Lenexa, Kan. native tallied a total of 902 career kills, which included 527 her senior season. She also had a .265 career hitting percentage, while have 69 total blocks and 177 digs.

The setter led her team to a 34-8 season, while going 7-1 in the district. Klemp was named to the 2018 Under Armour Second Team All-America, and was also named a Gatorade State Player of the Year Award Winner.

Klemp and the rest of the Lion squad will kick off their season this fall.
