LOS ANGELES, Calif., -- The Loyola Marymount men's tennis team is set to hit the road up to Eugene Ore. to take on the Oregon Ducks this Sunday.
The Lions will head into this weekend's match coming off of a 4-3 win against New Mexico, where the team picked up a doubles win, and continued the momentum in singles play, where
Diego Nava,
Ethan Prost, and
Lukas Moenter picked up wins over their opponents.
Moenter took on No. 35 Ricky Hernandez Tong on court one, where he picked up a 7-5, 7-6 win. His singles and doubles win over the weekend earned him the West Coast Conference Singles Player of the Week award, the first of his career.
The last time the Lions met with the Ducks was in 2016, where LMU fell 2-5 at home. Oregon is 8-1 on the season, with a five-game winning streak. The Duck's one loss was against No. 10 Stanford.
The Lions will take on Oregon in Eugene on Sunday February 17 at 11 a.m.
