Erik Johansson added to his career-high with a driving layup with three seconds left to give LMU the point advantage, but UC Davis capped off their comeback bid with a running three as time expired to take the game, 67-65.
LMU held a lead that grew to as large as 18 points, thanks in part to the 75 percent (15-for-20) shooting clip in the first half.

Seikou Sisoho Jawara put LMU on the board by knocking down a triple.
The lead started to build as
Eli Scott finished twice at the rim on consecutive possessions to start a 9-0 run that pushed the Lions ahead 22-7, 10 minutes into the game. Scott had another well-rounded night with 13 points, seven assists, six rebounds, and three steals.
The lead great to as high as 17 points in the first half as
Lazar Zivanovic knocked down a three in the final Lions possession of the half. The Aggies turned around to hit a buzzer three to make it a 38-24 LMU advantage at intermission.
The Lions benefitted from 7-for-11 shooting from three in the opening half, with five different players knocking down a triple.
UC Davis climbed back in the second half to tie it at 61-all with 4:01 remaining, and take their first lead since 2-0. The 13-0 run by the Aggies pushed the home team ahead, 63-61, with 3:13 remaining.
Parker Dortch ended the run on LMU's ensuing offensive possession and tied the score back up at 63 with a layup off a Scott feed. Dortch was one of four Lions to score double-digits.
With UC Davis splitting free throws on the other end of the court and taking a point lead, LMU had a chance to jump ahead with under a minute to play. The Lions missed their first crack at it, but played hard-nosed defense to earn another possession with 17 seconds remaining and the shot clock turned off. Coming out of a timeout, senior

The Aggies came out of their called timeout needing to go full court, and were able to put up a running three that fell and clinched the outcome for the home side.
Ivan Alipiev scored 11 points and grabbed seven rebounds.
LMU finished the game shooting 57.1 percent from the field (24-for-42) and hit half their threes (9-for-18).
The Lions will play on Thursday in Los Angeles at USC's Galen Center. LMU's game against Portland State was moved due to the DNC Debate being held on campus at Loyola Marymount University.
