LOS ANGELES – The Loyola Marymount University women's basketball team fell to Yale in the Thanksgiving Classic on Saturday 81-65, closing out the tournament 0-2.

Yale opened up the first quarter with a 9-2 run, while
Raychel Stanley put the first two points on the board from free-throws. Yale kept its momentum and ended the first quarter down 23-10.
The Lions went on a 10-3 run in the second quarter, but weren't able to keep up the pace, as LMU left the half down 40-26.
Stanley opened up the third quarter with a layup, but the Bulldogs responded. Yale went on a 7-0 run, and then then
Chelsey Gipson went to the line and made three for three. The Lions battled in the third, but left the quarter down 61-42.
The Lions put 23 points on the board in the fourth quarter, but it wasn't enough to take the game, as Yale won 81-65 to close out the Thanksgiving Classic.
Stanley led the Lions in points with 15, while CiCi Ellington had 13 and six assists.
Jasmine Jones led the Lions in rebounds with 10, while also having seven points.
Khari Clark led the team in blocks with two, while Stanley had three steals.
The Lions shot 38.1 percent from the field, while shooting 27.8 percent from behind the arch and 60 percent from the free-throw line.
