Meet Results
The Loyola Marymount University Lions women's swim team finished the Pepperdine Winter Invitational on Sunday evening and eclipsed a number of personal best while setting season best times during the meet. The three-day competition held at East Los Angeles College Swim Stadium, included ten NCAA Division I teams from California, as well as non-DI programs from Alaska, Fairbanks, Cal State East Bay, Santa Cruz and Arizona Christian.

Leading the Lions was senior
Lanna Kozlowski who qualified for the finals in two events placing 19th
 in the 400 Individual Medley (4:36.97) and 21st in the 1650 Freestyle (18:00.00) both season best times.

Four other Lions qualified for evening finals over the three-day competition. On the first day, senior
Olivia Nielsen placed 23rd
 in the 50 Butterfly (26.59), while a trio of Lions scored in the finals of the 50 backstroke led by senior
Gabby Carufel in 19th
 (28.23), junior
Audrey Hixon in 23rd
 (28.65) and freshman
Sarah Lu in 24th
 (28.98). Lu returned to the finals on the third day of competition placing 24th
 in the 200 backstroke while shattering her personal best time by over three seconds (2:09.78).   Â

Mikayla Tseng achieved a personal best time of 53.80 in the 100 Freestyle as the lead off on LMU's 400 Freestyle Relay. Other personal best performances throughout the meet included senior
Christine Chan in the 50 and 100 freestyle relay splits (24.63 and 54.70), junior
Taylor Pajunen in the 50 (28.98) and 200 butterfly (2:10.95), Kozlowski in the 50 and 100 breaststroke relay splits (32.2 and 1:09.31) and Lu in the 200 individual medley (2:19.29).

The Lions will take a break from competition through the holidays and return to action on January 4, 2020 when they travel to Bakersfield to take on UC San Diego and Cal State Bakersfield. Â
