Lions Early Goals Prove to be difference in Victory over Dons

The Loyola Marymount University Lions men's soccer team (11-5-3, 6-1-0 WCC) picked up goals early in the first half and that proved to be the difference in picking up their 11th win of the season. The Lions 2-0 victory over the Dons on Saturday night propelled LMU to their sixth win in the West Coast Conference.
 
The Lions got on the board right from the onset when Jack Sauls pushed a shot by San Francisco's keeper in the seventh minute putting LMU up front 1-0 over the Dons.
 
LMU was outshot by the Dons 16-11 but made the most of their opportunities by putting seven of their shots on goal with two finding the back of the net.
 
The Lions picked up their second goal of the game in the 11th minute off Bastien Oberli's team-lead tying fourth score of the season. Oberli and Sauls' goals in the game put them at the top of the goal scoring leader board for the Lions with Duhaney Williams and CJ Neville
 
LMU's Jacob Jackson picked up his ninth shutout of the season with the clean sheet against the Dons.
