Kelli Andrade earned Pacific Collegiate Swim and Dive Conference Swimmer of the Week honors for the week of Sept. 30 – Oct. 6 following her strong performances at the PCSC Relays and Pentathlon held Oct. 4 – Oct. 5 in La Mirada, Calif.

Andrade started her LMU career on a strong note at the PCSC Relays with fast splits in all four relays that she swam in on Friday afternoon.  1:00.98 (100 fly), 1:08.0/1:07.3 (100 Breast/400 Medley) and 1:02.22 (100 IM leadoff).Â

On Saturday, swimming in the Short IM Pentathlon, Andrade nabbed a third-place finish overall with combined times of 2:59.37.   She scored her highest placing in the 50 breaststroke, placing second in 31.61 and the 100 IM placing fourth in 1:02.98.

Andrade is the first Lion swimmer to earn PCSC recognition for the 2019-20 season.Â

The Lions will return to action on Oct. 18 when they travel to Seattle for two days of competition against Seattle University and Grand Canyon University.  LMU's first home meet of the year will be Nov. 2 when it hosts the University of San Diego at 2 p.m. at the Burns Aquatics Center.
