LOS ANGELES – Despite five corner kick opportunities by LMU, the Lions (3-10-2, 2-3-0 WCC) were unable to get on the board in Wednesday night's home game against Gonzaga. The Bulldogs (10-4-1, 3-1-1 WCC) picked up their 10
th win of the season with a 3-0 win on Sullivan Field.
Gonzaga scored in the 24
th, 67
th, and 77
th minutes, all from the run of play.
LMU allowed Gonzaga to take 10 first half shots, but were able cut that number in half after intermission. The Lions more than doubled their first half shot output taking eight shots in the final 45 minutes to finish the game at 11.
The Lions earned five corner kicks, and only conceited one, but were unable to find the back of the net.
Sadie Kenny tied her career-high and made six saves in her 90 minutes of play.
The Lions have one more opportunity at home this week, with Saint Mary's coming to the Bluff for a Saturday night game.
The LMU senior class will be honored on the field prior to the 6 p.m. start.
