LOS ANGELES, Calif.,—The Loyola Marymount men's tennis team will hit the road for its first road match of the season, as the team will participate in the ITA Kick-Off Weekend starting on Saturday in Fort Worth, Tx.

"We are excited for the opportunity and look forward to a great day of tennis," said head coach
Tom Lloyd. "The guys have had this weekend circled on the calendar for a while, here goes nothing!"Â

The Lions, (0-1) are coming off of a hard-fought home loss last weekend against Fresno State. LMU fought until the very end, but the Bulldogs took the win 4-3.Â

Despite the loss, the Lions put up a strong showing, as they quickly took the doubles point pushed all of their opponents in singles play, which included wins from
Diego Nava and
Nick Borchenko.Â

LMU enters the weekend as the No. 4 seed and will be taking on No. 1 seed TCU Saturday at noon, while No. 3 Arizona State takes on No. 2 Oklahoma State at Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center.Â

The winner of both of these matches will advance to the next round, which will be on Sunday at 11 a.m.
