National Girls and Women in Sports Day will be more than just a nominal observance this year for LMU Athletics and the Women's Basketball team this year. Instead, we have partnered with multiple girls organizations to pack the house with girls in the community. We will be observing National Girls and Women in Sports Day on February 2 at 2 PM when we take on University of San Diego.
Â
Girl Scouts of Los Angeles will be in attendance and will have the opportunity to participate in a pre-game clinic with the Spirit Squad then perform their routine at halftime and receive a Spirit Squad patch! The Girl Scouts Troop that sells the most tickets to the game on February 2 is invited back to the game on February 23 to sell Girl Scout Cookies to fans. Tickets are only $12 and you can registerÂ
here.
Â
Women's Basketball Alumni to come back and support the team as well as National Girls and Women in Sports Day.
Â
All LMU women's teams have been invited to sign autographs pre-game and participate in-game experiences during the game. The women's basketball team will be signing autographs post-game.
Â
LMU Athletics will also be giving out headbands to the first 200 fans in attendance.
Â
Along with this promotion, we will be selling $2 tickets in honor of the game being on February 2 at 2 PM until 11 AM on 2/2.
