West Coast Conference Announces Men’s Basketball Dates and Matchups

WCC’s 16-game Men’s Basketball Schedule Begins in January

SAN BRUNO – The new-look 16-game West Coast Conference slate has been revealed, the conference announced Wednesday. Loyola Marymount's WCC schedule begins with the PCH Cup in Malibu on Jan. 3 before the hosting Portland on Jan. 5 in the league home-opener.

After receiving one of two bye dates on Jan. 10, LMU hosts Saint Mary's on Jan. 12 for the only matchup of the season between the Lions and Gaels.

Following a trip to Spokane to face a Gonzaga team that finished in the top-10 of the final Coaches Poll of last season, LMU returns to the Bluff to host the second leg of the PCH Cup on Jan. 19 against Pepperdine.

The Lions close out January with a road trip all across California, beginning in San Diego on Jan. 24 and ending in Santa Clara on Jan. 26, before returning to Los Angeles to host Pacific on Jan. 31.

February opens in Provo, Utah against BYU on the second.

LMU will host San Diego on Feb. 7 before heading to Portland for a game two days later.

Fans will definitely want to circle their calendars for the week of Feb. 11-17, LMU's annual Family Week. The only week with two home conference games this season features a showdown with Gonzaga on Valentine's Day and then against BYU on that Saturday.

LMU closes out the regular season with a trip to Pacific on Feb. 23, home senior night on Feb. 28 back on campus, then north again for the regular-season finale and lone matchup with San Francisco.

The 16-game schedule in its inaugural season, and means that no teams on the men's side will play WCC games until January, rather than in the final weekend of December like in year's past. Game times and television partners will be announced at a later time, along with LMU's non-conference opponents.

Season tickets are now available, which now include an incentive plan with the chance to win a customized LMU Adidas men's basketball jersey. Mini plans will go on sale on Sept. 17 and single game on Oct. 15. Season ticket holders will be able to purchase single game tickets early on Oct. 8.
