HONOLULU, Hawaii – Each half opened with an early goal as Loyola Marymount women's soccer and Bowling Green women's soccer played to a 1-1 draw in the first game of the 2018 season.
 
Sarina Bolden, now in her senior year, put the Lions on the board early in the match after heading in the first goal of the season off the pass from sophomore transfer Dana Reed at exactly the 5 minute mark. Her 13^thcareer goal moves Bolden into the program record books, tying her with Cindy Carullo (1993-96), Stacy Roberts (1997-2000), and Sarah Sanger (2014-17) for 10^thall-time.
 
A scoreless next 40 minutes brought the two teams to the locker room with LMU holding the 1-0 advantage at the break.
 
The Falcons quickly responded with an equalizer five minutes into the second half.
 
The two teams held serve the remainder of the game, finishing in a 1-1 draw after two overtime periods.
