Box Score HONOLULU, Hawaii – Loyola Marymount women's soccer knew they had a difficult opening weekend when they signed up for Hawaii's Outrigger Soccer Kickoff. After earning a draw on Friday with Bowling Green, the Lions (0-1-1) were shutout by #11 Texas A&M (2-0-0), 3-0.
The Aggies scored twice in the first half, in the 28
thminute then in the 41
stminute, to take a 2-0 lead into the break. They then added a third goal in the 82
ndminute to finish the game.
Texas A&M peppered
Charlee Pruitt with 14 shots, compared to three from LMU, forcing the senior goalkeeper to make save after save and finish the day with five.
The Lions will shift focus to their home openers, a pair of double-headers with the men's soccer team at Sullivan Field.
LMU plays Loyola-Chicago on Friday, Aug. 24 at 4 p.m. and Northeastern on Sunday, Aug. 26 at 1 p.m. The men's team will follow each day.
