#49 LMU men's tennis (15-2, 5-0 WCC) collected another sweep in West Coast Conference play on Sunday, defeating Portland (9-8, 4-3 WCC) by a score of 4-0 from the LMU Tennis Center. The victory stretched LMU's win streak to 12 matches.

"This was a solid team effort today from the start of a great doubles point, until we clinched with Moreno," head coach Tom Lloyd said.

The bottom of the doubles order clinched the point in pairs, as Diego Nava and Errol Smith combined to post a 6-2 win over Carlos Donat/Jamie Fisher on court three. Lukas Moenter and Charles Boyce followed by clinching the point with a 6-1 victory on court two over Mike Pervolarakis/Tom Hann.

Nick Borchenko got the singles wins rolling, defeating Alex Wallace, 6-1, 6-1, on court five to extend his win streak to 14 straight matches. Errol Smith followed with a 6-2, 6-4 win over Pierre Garcia on court three, leaving one point left to be had for the Lions.

Lucas Moreno handed the Lions that victory, taking down Donat, 7-5, 6-2, on court four to clinch the match.

"Our guys are getting their legs underneath them better in singles, and bringing the good juice. This was a very good Portland team that is always well coached," Lloyd said.

LMU will return to action on Tuesday when it hosts UC Santa Barbara at 1 p.m. from the LMU Tennis Center.
