Hosting a pair of matches to conclude the regular-season slate over the weekend, LMU men's tennis (16-5, 6-2 WCC) opened the string with a 4-0 sweep of Santa Clara (12-10, 4-4 WCC) on Friday afternoon from the LMU Tennis Center.

Charles Boyce / Lucas Moreno opened play for the Lions with a 6-3 triumph over Vasileios Iliopoulos/Jesus Barajas on court two to extend their win streak to four matches. The other half of the doubles point was gained on court one, as Nick Borchenko / Lukas Moenter teamed to take down Andrew Gu/Robert Seby, 6-2.

Playing at #6 singles, senior Charles Boyce turned in a convincing 6-3, 6-1 win over Sebastien Mathieu to run the Lion advantage to 2-0. Errol Smith followed with a 7-6 (2), 6-3 win over Seby on court four, setting the table for the clincher from Lucas Moreno on court three. Moreno knocked off Connor Garnett, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 to seal the win.

The Lions will finish the regular season on Saturday when they host San Francisco at 1 p.m.
