HIGHLIGHTS AT LMU
2018-19 • RS Junior 
Went 5-9 in singles dual play from the No. 4, 5 and 6 courts … went 1-6 in conference play … won last two conference matches at WCC Championships … picked up a 6-3, 6-4 win over ranked BYU … went 2-4 in doubles play. 

2017-18 • RS FRESHMAN
Went 17-9 overall in singles, including 7-2 in tournaments and 4-1 in WCC play...was 5-2 while playing at #4 in the order...was 12-5 in doubles play, including 7-2 in dual matches at #2 in the order...posted a 6-2 record when teamed with Charles Boyce, as the pair earned WCC Doubles Pair of the Week for April 24.

2016-17 • FRESHMAN
Did not appear in any matches during the season while utilizing a redshirt campaign...

HIGH SCHOOL
A 2015 graduate of Laurel Springs in Port Saint Lucie, Florida...Did not compete for his high school because he played the International Junior Circuit (ITF), and the pro circuit representing his home country, Chile...International Junior Circuit Doubles Champion of Chuquiago Junior Open (Bolivia) in 2012, Singles and Doubles Champion of Dunlop Cup (El Salvador) in 2013, Singles and Doubles Champion of Copa Maya (El Salvador) in 2013, Doubles Champion of ITF Junior Circuit Cup (Trinidad & Tobago) in 2014.

Lucas Moreno Yanez was born January 14, 1996 in Santiago, Chile...son of Christina Yanez and Fernando Moreno, a professional rugby player for Chile...has one brother, Fernando...an English major...chose LMU after his brother really enjoyed being a Lion and wanted to have a great education, compete in Division I tennis, and enjoy the campus.
