Complete 2019 Schedule
 
LOS ANGELES – Loyola Marymount beach volleyball Head Coach John Mayer has announced the 2019 spring competition schedule for his Lions. LMU will begin play on Feb. 22, host matches on March 16, and bring the WCC Championships to Santa Monica on April 19 and 20.
 
"Our schedule is tough as always," said Head Coach John Mayer. "We play a number of teams throughout the season that will be ranked in the preseason top 10. We want to play the best and I feel we have a roster that can compete with and beat the best. We're excited to get this thing going!"
 
All home matches are played at the Ocean Park Courts in Santa Monica, Calif. For LMU's home date, the Lions will host Concordia University, Mississippi State, and Cal Poly in a four-team rotation. The Lions will open the day against Concordia at 10 a.m., followed by a pair of neutral matches before LMU and Mississippi State square off at 1 p.m. In total, five matches will be played throughout the day.
 
The regular season will wrap with the West Coast Conference Championships being held at LMU's home site, with the Lions serving as hosts for the conference tournament.
 
"We love that the WCC Championships are at our home beach in Santa Monica," said Mayer. "Our LMU team trains on the beach and looks forward to any opportunities we get to play in all the challenging elements the beach brings. Things like wind and deep sand are allies of ours."
