Lions Sweep Doubles on Final Day of LMU Invitational
 
LMU swept three doubles decisions on Sunday.
 
Wrapping up play from the Second Annual LMU Invitational on Sunday, LMU men's tennis swept three doubles decisions and picked up a pair of wins in singles. The Lions battled Nevada in doubles, while they faced off against Utah in singles.
 
"Hosting a fall tournament to close out the semester was a great opportunity for our program," head coach Tom Lloyd said. "The atmosphere was great having all four teams there, and the competition was top notch."

Lukas Moenter and Max Kaiser teamed in doubles, defeating Arevalo/Bollipalli, 8-7(0), while Kaiser also picked up a 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 win over Mathias Gavelin in singles.

Nick Borchenko also won a singles decision, knocking off Randy Cory, 6-1, 7-5.

In other doubles action, Diego Nava and Ethan Prost recorded an 8-5 win over Opacic/Acosta, and Lucas Moreno/Ryan Brown topped Bucur/Bushamuka, 8-5.

Sunday's play wraps up the fall season for LMU. The Lions will return to action on January 20 when they host Fresno State for a 12 p.m. match.

"I am pleased where we are heading into the winter months, and we look to our training to be ready for the spring," Lloyd added.
