PORTLAND, Ore. – After winning two straight road games at New Mexico and Santa Clara, the LMU Lions (4-8, 1-1 WCC) went up against the unbeaten Portland Pilots(10-0-2, 2-0 WCC) on Friday night in another road match. Entering Friday's match, Portland was ranked No. 7 in the nation.

The Lions held the Pilots to just five shots and one goal in the first half, as goalkeeper
Paul Lewis had two saves through the first 45 minutes. Portland gained its 1-0 lead at the 15:06 mark as Gio Magana-Rivera gave Portland a 1-0 lead at the 15:06 mark, putting a shot in from the top middle 18 yards out.

LMU's defense held the Pilots without another goal until the 52:54 mark when Alejandro Pereira stole the ball from Lewis in the box and punched in another one to put Portland up 2-0. The Pilots secured two more goals at 71:55 (RJ Stretch) and 83:28 (Luke Hendel) to run away with the 4-0 victory.

Portland out-shot LMU 15-5 on the night, as the Lions only had one shot on goal, by freshman
Danny Garcia, in the loss. Eight of the Pilots' 15 shots were on goal, as Lewis finished with four saves. Each team took four corner kicks.

Will Dubay received a red card and was ejected from the match at the 75:04 mark after a previous yellow card at 70:36.
