SAN BRUNO, Calif. - For the second week in-a-row, senior Jackie Johnson has been named the WCC Player of the Week, as announced by the conference Monday.

Johnson kicked off the week by notching 24 points on 10-of-14 shooting, grabbed nine rebounds and swatted a career-high seven blocks in a 63-55 win over San Diego, extending LMU's win streak to four, it's longest since the 2008-09 season, while also snapping a 13-game losing streak to the Toreros.

She followed with her fourth straight 20-plus point performance with 21 points to go with seven rebounds, five assists and four blocks against San Francisco.

For the week, Johnson averaged 22.5 points shooting .679 from the floor, while also adding 8.0 rebounds per game to go with 11 blocks.

Johnson becomes the first player in program history to earn back-to-back WCC Player of the Week nods in a season, and joins Kate Murray '04 as the only players in program history to earn the honors thrice in a season, as Murray previously accomplished the feat in the 2003-04 season. Johnson is the first player in the WCC this season to earn back-to-back Player of the Week honors.
