Competing in the first of two double dual meets against Seattle University and Grand Canyon University on Friday from the Burns Aquatics Center, LMU swimming defeated Seattle U, 105.5-96.5, but came up short, 148-54, against the Lopes.

On the men's side, Grand Canyon posted a 124-81 victory over Seattle University. In the other women's dual, Grand Canyon defeated Seattle, 140-64.

LMU's top relay teams took home a pair of third-place finishes, as Taylor Anderson, Abby Chopp, Olivia Nielsen and Isabel Willis combined for a time of 4:03.81 in the 400 medley relay to start competition. Farah Stack, Anna Gasiorowski, Marley Abbott and Alyce-Faye Eichelberger teamed in the 200 freestyle to close competition, registering a mark of 1:42.67.

Although it did not win an individual race, LMU did manage to take home second place in a trio of events, beginning with Keara Reilly's 18:26.91 in the 1650 freestyle. Eichelberger also managed a second-place finish by touching the wall in 24.75 to earn a share of second place in the 50 freestyle. In the final distance event of the afternoon, Lanna Kozlowski claimed second overall in the 500 freestyle by way of a time of 5:16.19.

Taylor Anderson, Willis and Audrey Hixon all took home third place in one of their respective races, with Anderson claiming the spot in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:58.22. Willis captured third in the 100 freestyle, edging Seattle University's Paige Treff for the mark with a time of 54.72. Hixon rounded out the top-three finishes with her 1:01.86 in the 100 backstroke.

LMU will welcome the same two teams back to campus on Saturday for a 9:30 a.m. swim meet. Fans are encouraged to arrive on campus prior to 8:30 a.m. to avoid traffic due to the Think Pink 5k run on campus.
