Swimming in a double dual meet against UC San Diego and CSU Bakersfield on Saturday afternoon, LMU dropped a pair of decisions, but senior Hannah Calton managed to capture a first-place finish in the 100 butterfly with a time of 57.50. The Lions dropped a meet to UCSD, 234-57, and fell to CSU Bakersfield, 228-63.
Calton also took home second place in the 200 butterfly, stopping the clock at 2:07.50 to finish just behind UCSD's Amanda Sumrow at 2:07.08. Calton's third individual event of the day brought home a fifth-place finish, as she registered a time of 53.96 in the 100 freestyle.
Freshman Alyce-Faye Eichelberger turned in a top-four finish in the 100 backstroke, posting a mark of 1:01.55.
LMU will return home to host the First Annual Lions Cup on January 13 and 14.
