Swimming in their final home swim meet of their careers on Saturday afternoon, seniors Hannah Calton and Stacy Maier each won events, while Lia Porcelli Jorgensen contributed a handful of points, but the Lions dropped a dual meet to Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, 163-98.
Senior Kailee Mora was also honored prior to the meet.
Calton, LMU's school record holder in the 100 and 200 butterfly, won both of those events on Saturday, while also adding a first-place finish in the 100 freestyle. Calton registered a time of 2:04.84 in the 200 fly before posting a time of 52.45 in the 100 freestyle. She finished her individual events with the top honor in the 100 fly, stopping the clock at 56.70.
Maier won her first individual event of the day, the 200 freestyle, with a time of 1:56.31 before outdistancing the competition with a first-place finish in the 500 freestyle (5:13.77).
Maier, Calton and Jorgensen all contributed to LMU's final victory of the afternoon, helping the Lion 400 freestyle relay to a time of 3:36.77. Maier swam the first 100 before Jorgensen, freshman Taylor Anderson, and Calton followed as the anchor.
Other notable finishes for the Lions included Lanna Kozlowski's second-place finish in the 1000 freestyle (10:51.03), Jorgensen's third-place finish in the 200 freestyle (2:00.75), Marley Abbott's second-place finish in the 50 freestyle (24.94) after missing much of the season, Tori Yee's third-place finish in the 200 backstroke (2:15.67), and Olivia Nielsen's third-place swim in the 100 butterfly (1:00.65).
The Lions will now prepare for the PCSC Time Trials on January 28.
