Dec. 14, 2016 LOS ANGELES - The LMU softball team and head coach Sami Strinz-Ward are set to welcome six signees as part of the class of 2021.
Molly Grumbo, Maddie Flores, Megan Martin, Desiree Medina, Linnay Wilson and Delanie Wisz are set to join the squad next season.
"My staff and I are really excited for our 2017 class," remarked Strinz-Ward. "We put a lot of work into finding the right fits for our program. We scoured the travel ball scene to find the right combination of skill, work ethic and mentality. All of these young ladies stepped up to the challenge. We haven't been shy about our lofty goal of becoming a top 25 program in the next five years and these young ladies wanted to help blaze that trail."

Delanie Wisz

Three-year letterwinner and two-time captain at Righetti ... Four-time scholar-athlete ... Two-time all-league ...2016 Offensive MVP ... 2015 Pac 8 MVP ... Notched a .433 batting average, six home runs, 28 RBI and 26 hits as a junior ... Posted a .557 batting average, eight home runs, 29 RBI and 39 hits as a sophomore.
LMU's 2017 recruiting class was ranked No. 69 by FloSoftball, marking LMU's debut on FloSoftball's recruiting rankings.
"I'm really pleased with the pitching and overall athleticism of this class," stated Strinz-Ward. "We are thrilled for these student-athletes to join our current team in continuing to elevate our program."
