For the second time in as many weeks, LMU swimming earned Pacific Collegiate Swimming and Diving Conference (PCSC) Athlete of the Week honors, as freshman Lanna Kozlowski earned the selection following impressive swims against UC Davis last week. The selection comes on the heels of senior Hannah Calton earning selection a week ago (Oct. 17).
Kozlowski won the 500 Freestyle in 5:15.44 at the home dual meet against the Aggies. She also placed second in the 1000 Freestyle with a 10:46.13.
Calton earned five top-10 finishes over the two-day Malibu Invitational, taking second in the 100 butterfly (58.25), third in the 100 IM (1:01.01), fourth in the 400 IM (4:38.60), and fifth in the 200 backstroke (2:09.48) and 50 butterfly (26.57). She also was part of the winning 200 Medley Relay and second place 200 Freestyle relay.
The Lions are currently preparing for a pair of double dual meets this weekend against Grand Canyon and Seattle University in Seattle, Wash. The first meet will be contested on Friday at 6 p.m. before Saturday's 11 a.m. meet.
