LOS ANGELES - It was classic offensive West Coast Conference match-up from Gersten Pavilion and in the end BYU had more firepower than LMU, earning a 91-80 come-from-behind victory on Thursday night.

He finished the game equalling an LMU record for shooting percentage, hitting 11-for-12 from the field. He ties Mike Yoest (Jan. 6, 1988 vs. Marquette) and Victor Lazzaretti (Feb. 25, 1987 vs. Pepperdine) for the best shooting game in LMU history.

The Lions (9-10, 2-6) used a monster 20-0 run in the first half to take a lead as large as 15 but it wasn't enough as the Cougars (14-6, 5-2) shot 66.7 percent in the second half and got another triple-double from Kyle Collinsworth for the win.
Collinsworth earned his 10th career triple-double with 10 points, 13 rebounds and 15 assists. Nick Emery had 24 points and Chase Fischer added 20.
"Three things that really were key. They got us in transition in the second half and really got their offense going," said Head Coach Mike Dunlap. "The second was rebounding, they really hurt us there (42 to 32). And third, we turned the ball over. We haven't been doing that and tonight we turned it over in crucial moments."
The Lions shot 67.9 percent in the first half, hitting 9-for-13 from three to kick start their big run. However, they hit 33 percent in the second half to finish 48.4 percent for the game. BYU shot 41.7 percent in the first half and finished shooting 49.2 percent. They hit 8-for-12 from three in the second half.
BYU finished 13-for-29 from long distance (44.8 percent) while the Lions were 11-for-22 (50 percent).
