LOS ANGELES -- The LMU men's basketball program added a sixth member to its incoming class for 2015-16 as Northeast Community College (Norfolk, Neb.) standout Buay Tuach has signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Lions and attend LMU beginning in the fall of 2015.

"I am very excited to be in Los Angeles and at LMU," said Tuach. "LMU is a great place to get a degree, gain relationships and create opportunities for life after basketball. This is a great opportunity for me."

Tuach, who was an all-conference selection last season, joins a loaded recruiting class that combined to post a record of 266-98 (73.1 winning percentage) in each of their final two seasons at the previous institution. Tuach will join National NJCAA Player of the Year and two-time NJCAA All-American Brandon Brown (Phoenix College; Phoenix, Ariz.), 2014 CCCAA All-State forward Adom Jacko (Chaffey College; Racho Cucamonga, Calif.), McDonald All-American Games nominee Jeffery McClendon (Eastside HS, Lancaster, CA), NJCAA All-Conference selection Shamar Johnson (Pensacola State College; Pensacola, Fla.), and Canadian National Team member Munis Tutu (La Lumiere School; LaPorte, Ind.). They will all join the Lions for the 2015-16 season.

"We are all very excited about this year's incoming class," said Head Coach Mike Dunlap. "It started this November when we signed Adom, through the April signings of Brandon, Shamar, Jeffrey and Munis, and now with Buay, a very athletic shooting guard. They all come from very successful programs and some of the best coaches in the country."

Tuach started 50 of 52 games in his two seasons at Northeast C.C., leading his team to a 25-7 record this past season. As a sophomore he averaged 16.7 points overall, jumping that to 18.8 in conference play. He added to that 6.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game, while shooting 38.9 percent from three and an impressive 60.5 percent clip from the field.

"Buay is a very athletic, talented shooter who saw a huge improvement in his game under head coach Dan Anderson and assistant coach Adam Blaylock at Northeast," said Dunlap. "He got better each season and we are excited that he is a part of this year's incoming class."

He earned second-team All-Conference this past season, improving on his 12.9 ppg and 4.1 rpg is freshman season. The native of Sudan who moved with his family to Omaha, Neb., as a child, helped South High School to a 23-3 record as a senior. He was named second-team All-Metro by OmahaHoops.com and was named Honorable Mention All-Metro and All-State by the Omaha World-Herald.

"I felt I really connected with the students at LMU, the mentors, and the staff of the entire University," said Tuach, who hopes to major in either Sociology or Business. "I think the transition to Los Angeles will be easy. I am going to have to work harder in everything. As for when I first get to L.A., I am going to go to the gym and work on my game and then, I am going to go the beach. I haven't been around the beach much in my life."
