The LMU men's tennis team (12-9) won its seventh straight home match on Wednesday afternoon, beating Binghamton (5-15) by a count of 6-1 to improve to 9-2 at home this year.

The Lions won the doubles point with a tie breaking 7-6 (2) victory on court two. Felix Van Kann and Todd Volmari teamed to defeat Ismael Dinia and Vihar Shah for the decisive win. Cristobal Rivera and Luke Bohuslav also earned a doubles victory on court three, defeating Frenk Kote and Sid Hazarika, 6-3.

Freshman Joat Farah was the first to finish in singles play, earning a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Elliot Hureau on court four. Farah is now 14-7 overall and has won four straight matches.

After Robin Lesage claimed the Bearcats' lone victory at #2 singles, Errol Smith bested Hazarika at the top court, 7-6 (6), 6-3. Smith is now 7-2 at #1 singles.

Bohuslav clinched the Lion victory with a 6-4, 6-2 win at #5 singles, winning his fourth straight match and moving to 12-6 on the season.

While the match was already decided, freshman Alex Bourgeois finished a perfect second set en route to claiming a 7-5, 6-0 win at #6 singles. With the first two sets being split, Rivera played a 10-point tiebreaker in the third, beating Dinia 7-5, 2-6, 10-3 to finish off a great day on the courts for the Lions. Rivera is now 4-1 when playing at the #3 position.

LMU will return to action on April 17 when it hosts Saint Mary's at 2 p.m. from the LMU Tennis Center.
