The LMU men's tennis team (5-6) recorded its second consecutive victory over a ranked opponent on Saturday, defeating #71 Utah State (12-3) with a clean sweep at 7-0. LMU defeated #61 Cal Poly on Friday to start the weekend.
While all the Lions contributed to Saturday's victory, Othar Kordsachia completed a 4-0 weekend with a victory in doubles and #6 singles. Kordsachia teamed with Felix Van Kann to defeat Jack Swindells/Sebastian Schneider before knocking off Schneider in singles.
"This was a very encouraging weekend," second-year head coach Tom Lloyd said. "Today was a great team effort from start to finish, and our guys are competing well and pulling the rope."
LMU will return to practice on Monday before hosting Yale on March 14 at the LMU Tennis Center. That match is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start.
