LOS ANGELES -The full slate of home games for the 17th-ranked LMU women's water polo team continues and comes to a close this final weekend of March. The Lions will host three straight games, including a pair of Golden Coast Conference match-ups, starting on Thursday, Mar. 26 against Azusa Pacific at 4 pm.
The Lions will host APU in a conference match-up on Thursday, then follow that will another GCC match-up with Fresno Pacific on Friday, Mar. 27, also at 4 pm. The Lions will then close a nine-game home stand with Senior Day on Saturday, Mar. 28 at 1 pm against third-ranked USC.
It will be the final home stand of the 2015 season and for the careers of seniors Mackenzie Beck, Laura Lopez and Jordan White. The trio will play their final home game on Saturday against the Trojans.
All three have been primary starters and captains for the Lions (15-9) this season. The goalie White has played in 40 games for the Lions and is fifth in the GCC this season with a goals against average of 7.86. She has helped the Lions rank third in the GCC in goals allowed this season.
As for Lopez and Beck, they have combined to play in 241 games entering the week. Lopez has played in 122 while Beck a 119. Beck is ranked eighth all-time at LMU with 157 career goals and Lopez is right behind her with 147 ranking ninth.
Lopez is in the top-10 in assists with 92, ranking fifth all-time, while Beck is not far behind with 82, ranking sixth. Beck is also ranked seventh with 133 kick-outs drawn and 16th all-time with 108 steals.
Lopez is ranked third in the GCC this season with 42 goals, while Beck is ranked fifth in the GCC with 40.
