LOS ANGELES -It will be a busy stretch for the Burns Aquatics Center as the 12th-ranked LMU women's water polo team will host 16 games over the three days. It all starts with a title game rematch against San Diego State on Thursday, Mar. 19 at 4 pm.

The Lions (13-6, 0-0) welcome the Aztecs (10-11, 3-0) to the Burns Center for a key Golden Coast Conference match-up. The two team met for the inaugural GCC title game a year ago with the Lions coming out on top, 10-9, in sudden-death overtime. It is the first conference game of the season for the Lions, while San Diego State is off to another perfect start, sitting at 3-0. They have won nine straight GCC games, winning all six last year.

The two teams met in a neutral site game earlier in the season with the Lions winning 5-4.

After the key conference match-up, the Lions will host the 14th annual ZUMO LMU Invitational on Mar. 20-21. The Lions will welcome California Baptist, 10th-ranked Princeton, the 17th-ranked Aztecs, Concordia, Whittier, Michigan, and Brown for the two-day tournament.

While all single games this season are free, including the game against San Diego State on Thursday, the ZUMO Invitational is presented by the Lions Athletic Fund and tickets will be sold with all proceeds benefiting the LMU women's water polo team's Lions Athletic Fund.

Advanced ticket prices are $10 for adults and $5 for children/seniors. Day of game ticket prices are $12/$7. Tickets can be purchased online at LMULions.com/Tickets.

The game against the Aztecs will feature the two best defenses in the GCC. The Lions are tops with a goals against average of 7.26 while SDSU is at 7.35. They are also one-two in steals as San Diego State leads the league at 12.65 steals per game while the Lions are second at 9.89.
