The LMU men's tennis team (3-6) split a pair of matches at the LMU Tennis Center on Friday and Saturday, falling 6-1 to #30 San Diego on Friday before rebounding and defeating Northern Arizona on Saturday by a score of 5-2.

Othar Kordsachia posted LMU's lone victory on Friday against the Toreros, knocking off James Ponwith at #6 singles, 6-2, 6-4. The Lions played the ranked-opponent tough on all courts, but San Diego proved its worth as the two-time defending WCC Champions.

LMU looked strong on Saturday against the Lumberjacks, taking the doubles point and then claiming victory on four of the six singles courts to snap a four-match losing streak.

Playing at #1 singles for the second time this year, sophomore Charles Boyce recorded the victory over Eden Peleg 6-3, 6-4. Errol Smith, the reigning WCC Player of the Week, also collected a win at #2 singles, defeating Jordan Gobatie 6-3, 5-7, 6-4. Felix Van Kann and Cristobal Rivera also notched singles wins, with Rivera besting Felix Schumann in convincing fashion at 6-0, 6-1.

Boyce and Smith teamed in doubles at the top court, recording a victory to move to 2-1 on the year. Kordsachia and Van Kann also collected a victory in doubles, defeating a pair of Lumberjacks on court three to seal the doubles point.
