The LMU men's tennis team (2-3) dropped a close 4-3 decision on the road at UC Santa Barbara (3-4) on Saturday afternoon at UCSB's Rec Center Courts.

The Lions opened the match by winning the doubles point by way of victories on the first two courts. Errol Smith and Joat Farah defeated Tobias Galskov/Erik Johnsson, 6-2, on court one, while Charles Boyce and Cristobal Rivera dispatched Nathan Eshmade/Chase Masciorini by the same score on the second court.

Unfortunately for the Lions, UCSB rallied back with victories on four of the six singles courts to steal the team win. Boyce and Farah recorded wins for LMU, as Farah improved to 5-2 overall and 2-0 in dual match play.

The Lions will return to action on February 19 when they travel to Fresno State for a match at 2 p.m.
