CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - LMU had five different players in double figures as they earned a 73-60 road win over Southeast Missouri State at the Show Me Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo., Saturday afternoon. The Lions (4-2) had one of their more complete efforts thanks to a 40-point second half to win their third straight.

Freshman Munis Tutu had a career-high 13 points to lead the five Lions in double figures. David Humphries came off the bench to hit four three-pointers to score 12. He was followed by Joshua Spiers, Adom Jacko and Steven Haney all with 10 points each.

Antonius Cleveland was the only Redhawks (0-5), who were playing in their home opener, in double figures with 17 points.

"We had balanced scoring and we are getting different guys to step-up," said Head Coach Mike Dunlap. "Another positive for us is that we hit our free throws down the stretch. We got our first win on the road. It is so important to learn how to win on the road."

The Lions finished with 10 three-pointers, their fourth straight game with nine or more. They hit 36.5 percent from the field but overcame that with 15 points off turnovers, forcing the Redhawks into 18.

The Lions held onto a 33-31 lead at the break and SEMO tied the game with two free throws to start the second frame. The Lions then went on a 14-4 run to take a 10-point lead after a Spiers three-pointer with 16:34 to play. SEMO managed to cut the lead to six, but another Lions' run, this one a 10-2 clip, gave the Lions their largest lead of the game, 62-47, after a Haney three-pointer.

The Lions finished the game 17-for-19 from the free throw line, hitting all 11 they shot in the second half.

"We have been working hard and it was good to see it come together on the road," said Dunlap. "We have a lot of positives to work on. We shot 36 percent and still found away. We were able to get more comfortable as the game progressed against the zone. I was glad to see Munis have a good game."

The Lions continue a stretch of game in which they will play four out of five on the road. They had to Oregon State on Wednesday, Dec. 2 at 7 pm. The game will be live on the PAC-12 Network and on KXLLU 88.9 FM.
