Senior Lise Soule swam a 2:04.39 to win the 200 butterfly on Friday as the Lions traveled to Santa Barbara, Calif. for a double dual meet against UCSB and Pacific.
Soule guided LMU to a 1-2 finish in the 200 fly, finishing ahead of teammate Hannah Calton in second place with a time of 2:04.83. Soule's time of 2:04.39 was a personal-best, and moved her into fourth place on LMU's all-time top-10 list.
The native of Auch, France also claimed a second-place finish on Friday afternoon, registering a time of 57.02 in the 100 butterfly. Senior Kjirsten Magnuson, who holds the LMU record in the 50 freestyle, also earned a second-place finish in that event at the fast meet, stopping the clock in 24.19.
LMU will now compete in a pentathlon in Fairbanks, Alaska on January 30 before swimming against the Nanooks on January 31 at 10 a.m.
