LOS ANGELES - The LMU softball team travels to UC Riverside Friday, Feb. 21-Sunday, Feb. 23 to take part in the Amy Harrison Classic. The Lions will play a combined five games against Seattle, Cal State Bakersfield and the host Highlanders.

The Lions will be seeking the season's first win this weekend after dropping their first five straight. Mixed into those first five opponents, however, were three top 25 teams, including then No. 12 Kentucky, reigning National Champion and then No. 2 Oklahoma, and then No. 12 UCLA.

Senior third baseman Meghan Harman leads the Lions at the plate, hitting .417 with five hits, two runs, four RBIs and two home runs. She is slugging at a .917 clip and has collected a pair of walks.

Sophomore hurler Sydney Gouveia made her first appearance of the season at UCLA on Feb. 16, fanning five in the 2-0 setback to the Bruins.

LMU opens play at the Amy Harrison Classic versus Seattle at 9 a.m. Friday.
