LOS ANGELES -For the last 19 years, the start of the college basketball season in Southern California has been made known thanks to the Los Angeles Athletic Club Wooden Award Tipoff Luncheon. On Wednesday, it was no different as the annual luncheon recognized the 13 NCAA Division I programs in Southern California.

LMU Head Coach Mike Dunlap was one of 13 coaches in attendance at the annual tipoff luncheon. The LMU Sports Network was there to catch coach's speech.

Practice for the 2014-15 season officially begins next week. Season tickets for the 2014-15 season are on sale now through LMULions.com/Tickets. Fans will get a chance to get to know the Lions in the coming months. The Wells Fargo Week of Madness is Oct. 13-19 and includes the annual Madness on Friday, Oct. 17.

Season ticket holders along with students/staff/faculty with active OneCards will be able to get a sneak peak on the Lions at a special event on Saturday, Oct. 25. More information to come.

And then the Lions will play their one exhibition game against UC San Diego on Thursday, Nov. 6 at 7 pm. Special season ticket packages are available. Go online today to be part of the 2014-15 LMU basketball season.
